Recognizing his indomitable warrior spirit, Emperor Jiggo adopted Berry into the royal imperial family, raising him alongside his elder daughter Suma. Under the Emperor's tutelage, Berry was bestowed the imperial family's most demanding physical relic: the monumental two-handed broadsword designated The Ogre.
